Ever wonder the mysteries of wax?  Blue, red, yellow, klister, liquid, rub on?

Join us this Friday, Jan. 15th at 6p for a FREE waxing clinic to unravel the mysteries of ski waxing. It’s perfect timing with the Teton Ridge Classic the very next morning (Saturday, Jan. 16th). We’ll be focusing on waxing classic skis to help make your skis extra fast for the TRC, but bring your questions for waxing skate, backcountry and alpine skis/boards as well.

Happy Holidays everyone! The sun was out at Grand Targhee today and the trails were in pretty good condition, some random classic track setting had been accomplished and it’s anyones guess as to the method of the madness. The bottom loop known as Rick’s basin has the most consistent classic track, quakie ridge only has about 25% tracked but the view may be worth the climb.

Janet Classic style

Great skiing the past few days in Teton Canyon thanks to mother nature and the dedicated crew of groomers for TVTAP(Trails and pathways  grooming donations are accepted at Yostmark Mountain Equipment on behalf of TVTAP). Be moose aware as there are a few in the area and occasionaly on the trail, give them a wide berth-they can move towards you fast! Many valley visitors and residents have been skiing the rust off and enjoying the grooming, in the photo below reident Nordic skier Janet Heslin shows some classic skiing style…..

West is still the best!

December 6th, 2009

Another successful trip to West Yellowstones Rendezvous trails. The entire trail system is groomed and in great shape, Windy ridge has about 1 inch of new that has been skied in and is really nice for skate skiing. Randy Anderson (Pocatello), Don pollari (Boise), Chris Humbert (Park City) and other Nordic enthusiasts are hitting the trails hard this weekend despite early morning temps below zero degrees F. Saturday during our ski the Temp was a pleasant 3F above and warmed considerably to 8 F above-balmy. Season passes for a Family are $50-Yes! $25 for individuals.Pick up a season pass and some
