AJ got to do some exploring up Teton Canyon with Greg for a couple of gorgeous days, and finally got to go snowboarding with two riders! Rob and Justin were vacationing from Virginia, and spent their first day in the backcountry south of Teton Pass.

Greg aims for Table Mountain, with the Grand Teton in the background.

Greg and AJ on the summit of Table Mountain

Greg finds wind-buffed powder in the NW Bowl of Table Mountain

Justin makes it to the top of Edelweiss, with Rob right behind.

Justin goes heelside out behind Edelweiss.

Greg steams off on the skintrack up to Chicken Knob.

Sweet powder turns on Chicken Knob.

Greg skins past wind-sculpted skeletons of whitebark pine on the final climb to the summit of Treasure Mountain.

Exiting the bottom of the main Eddington Chute--sweet, fast powder.

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Telemark Festival!
For over 20 years Clair Yost and Yostmark hosted Nordic Fest, a one day ski race/costume party that had its own special following. In 2006 we partnered with Grand Targhee and Black Diamond to put on one of the best tele instruction clinics in the West that includes a backcountry day and finishes with the trademark costume party/race.
Top instructors including Yostmark’s Rich Rinaldi will be instructing the finesse of the tele turn so you can rip it up in all conditions as you free your heel.
Join us for March 5-8, 2010 for the tele event of the season!

Last night we heard the terrible news about our good friend Wray Landon who was killed in an avalanche yesterday on the South Teton. Our hearts go out to all Wray’s friends and family. Everyone at Yostmark will miss his mountain spirit. RIP.
Stay safe out there.
