Acquire a fundamental understanding of avalanches by examining snowpack, weather, terrain and human factors associated with avalanche formation and triggering. This three day course will begin on Friday and end on Sunday with both classroom and field instruction. Real hands on practice and assesment with classroom sessions at the Driggs Community Center and field sessions in the backcountry off of Teton Pass.
